Friends don't let friends date strangers. Reco is an entirely new way to date, where anyone can play matchmaker by recommending their trusted friends for dates. Welcome to community-based dating.
Friends know you better than you know yourself. Daters are represented by Matchmakers, who work together to find matches based on date preferences and deal breakers.
Two Matchmakers plan the perfect first date. A neighborhood walk? Cocktails? Crafting workshop?
Using the Date Planner function, Matchmakers message Daters to weigh in on time and location.
Get ready for that date!
Share this app with your friends. Yes, even the taken ones! Dating apps aren’t just for single people anymore.
DATE PLANNER
Dating just got less stressful and more fun. Our Date Planner and calendar integration helps Matchmakers take care of planning and logistics. All you have to do is show up to the date.
BUILT-IN ACCOUNTABILITY
No more ghosting or bad date behavior. Daters are held accountable by their friends who set them up.
FREE SERVICE
Why pay matchmakers hundreds of dollars when your friends know you better? Save your money for the date itself.
Reco is built to have friends work together to set up their single Daters. As a Matchmaker, you are a hub, connecting you to more potential matches for your Dater. The more Matchmaker friends in your network, the more potential matches you’ll have.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on Reco.
Download the Reco app for iOS or Android.
Tap either “let’s play matchmaker” or “set me up”.
Fill out your profile information. If you’re a matchmaker, fill out your Dater’s profile as well.
Allow Reco access to all required permissions.
Matchmakers: check out your dashboard and add more info to your Dater’s profile.
Daters: Invite more friends and get ready for matches to come your way from your Matchmaker.
Tap the menu in the top-right corner of their profile.
Tap Edit Profile.
Tap into the section in your profile you’d like to edit and make changes.
At the bottom of the screen, tap Update to save changes.
Tap the menu in the top-right corner of their profile.
Tap Edit Profile.
Tap the Trashcan icon in the top-right corner above the photo.
Navigate to the home screen/dashboard.
Scroll down until you see the Matchmakers section.
Tap the plus sign (+).
If you don’t see a friend in the All Reco Matchmakers section, tap Invite Matchmakers to Reco. This will open your phone’s messages app.
Send a text message to anyone in your phone’s contacts and the link to sign up will be included.
Yes! Create a profile for each single friend. When you find a match for your friend, they will get a notification to add you as their Matchmaker.
To vet potential matches for your Daters, navigate to their profile and tap Find Matches. Reco will show prospects filtered by your friend’s preferences. Scroll through the options, or navigate to see all Matchmakers’ daters.
Users will have the ability to block another Matchmaker user.
Navigate to Messages.
Tap the menu in the upper right corner of the screen.
Tap Block user.
Tap Confirm or Cancel.
Once confirmed, you will no longer be able to communicate with that Matchmaker.
If you need to unblock a user, please email support@datewithreco.com.
If you find a user’s photo or profile inappropriate,
Tap the menu in the upper right corner
Tap Report Profile
Give a brief description as to what you find inappropriate.
Your report will be logged and investigated.
If a Matchmaker deletes their account, all conversations with this Matchmaker and all matches between your daters will no longer be visible or accessible.
When your Matchmaker creates your profile they will connect with other Matchmakers and explore other Matchmaker’s roster of Daters to see if there are any good options for you. If someone seems like a good fit, your Matchmaker will connect with the other Matchmaker to start a conversation about sending you on a date. If the other Matchmaker agrees it is a good match, the two Matchmakers will work collaboratively to create a date. The Daters will then be notified to confirm availability within Reco’s Date Planner.
When two Matchmakers have agreed on a match, your Matchmaker will text you with a link to a calendar. Tap sections of the calendar to indicate when you are free. Next, select the date activities you’re interested in by ranking the options. That’s it!
Safety is our highest concern. Matchmakers create Dater profiles with first names and photos; no personal information is collected about Daters.
If you no longer want to appear on a Matchmaker's roster as a Dater, first, ask your Matchmaker to remove you. If you need further assistance, email support@datewithreco.com and we will work to remove your profile from that Matchmaker’s roster.
